Tonight’s Fiesta Bowl features two undefeated teams in another game of historic proportions. The #3 ranked Texas Christian University Horned Frogs (Mountain West Conference) faces the #6 Boise State Broncos (Western Athletic Conference) at 8:15 p.m. EST in Glendale, AZ. In the 2008 Poinsettia Bowl, Boise State and TCU played in the first non-BCS game ever in which both teams were ranked higher than both participants in a BCS bowl game in the same season (i.e. 2009 Orange Bowl). TCU won 17-16.
This year, they make history again as it is the first time two teams from “non-BCS” conferences earned BCS bowl berths in the same season. With TCU at 12-0 and Boise State at 13-0, it is also the first time two unbeaten teams will square off in a BCS game other than the National Championship.
Naysayers call it the “Separate But Equal” Bowl or the “Fiasco” Bowl but the game still offers a great sports betting opportunity. Opening odds have TCU -8 points (-110 odds) against Boise State. Below are the other best lines for the game by some popular sportsbooks:
