The Deutsche Bank Golf Championship begins Thursday in Boston with World #1 Tiger Woods leading the odds yet again. This is the second of four Fed Ex tournaments and is comprised of the top 100 players in the Fed Ex points standings. Defending Deutsche Bank champion Steve Stricker is second in the odds, followed by Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy.

Woods won the Fed Ex Cup last year but has endured a dreadful season this year and will start 65th at Deutsche Bank. He needs to make the top 70 to qualify for the next round, which is the BMW Open next week. Golf’s most dominant player finally looks to be back on track with a 12th place finish last week at the Barclays.

World #4 Stricker has an impressive Fed Ex Cup record, but has never won it. He has qualified in each of the last 13 events, with two wins, a second place finish, two third place finishes and three other top 10 finishes. He is the golfer to back when it comes to Fed Ex consistency. Matt Kuchar, who narrowly defeated Martin Laird in the Barclays last week, is another player to keep in mind for the Deutsche Bank. Kuchar made the U.S. Ryder Cup team and finished in the top 10 in two notable majors, the U.S. Open and the PGA Championship. His win at Barclays catapulted him to the top of the Fed Ex standings and to #10 in the world rankings. He has excellent each-way value.

Another solid betting option is Dustin Johnson, who already qualified for the U.S. Ryder Cup team. He has six top 10 finishes in his last seven golf tournaments. He has one win on tour and is another good each-way prospect for Deutsche Bank. Paul Casey and Justin Rose will be looking to make a name for themselves this week after being omitted from the European Ryder Cup team. Laird also has decent betting value. Ryan Moore, Zach Johnson and Fredrik Jacobson are all currently tied for the lead at Deutsche Bank at 6-under.
