While the PGA Tour continues the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the European Tour moves to Malaga, Spain with the Open de Andalucia. The tournament begins Thursday at the Parador de Malaga Golf Club with a pair of Spaniards leading the odds.

Alvaro Quiros leads the Open de Andalucia odds as the home favorite. Quiros has three top 10 finishes in six events, including a win at the Dubai Desert Classic and a runner-up at the Qatar Masters. He didn’t do well at the WGC-Cadillac Championship and tied for 45th place here last year but he is the top ranked player in this tournament at No. 21.

His Spanish compadre Miguel Angel Jimenez is second in the odds. He hasn’t played quite as well as Quiros but has a great record at home. He won at Anadalucia in 1999 and his best finish this year was fifth at the WGC-Accenture Matchplay Championship. He also finished 55th in the WGC-Cadillac Championship and faces a weaker field in Malaga.

Chris Wood is third in the odds as the Englishmen looks for his first tour win. He finished 34th in the Sicilian Open last week, 10th in the Dubai Desert classic and second in the Africa Open, but he needs to play in more tournaments before being worthy of backing. At the same odds is Raphael Jacquelin, who was shortened after winning the Sicilian Open last week for his third career tour win after a four-year drought.

Down the line is Stephen Gallacher with good betting value. He finished 12th here last year and has two top 10 finishes in five appearances this year, including fourth in the Volvo Golf Champions. 2009 Open de Andalucia winner Soren Kjedsen is a longshot bet. He has yet to finish in the top 20 in 2011 and is making his first start since Dubai. But, he came in sixth at this tournament last year and two of his four European Tour titles came on Spanish soil.
