Britain’s richest flat race will run on July 24 with the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes. The United Kingdom’s best thoroughbred horses will be featured at the Group One Ascot race. The best 3-year-old colts will be tested against the top 3, 4 and 5-year-old fillies.

Workforce, the 2010 Epsom Derby champion, leads the betting. The horse blew everyone out at the Derby by a staggering seven lengths. Prior to that race, he finished second in the Group 2 Dante Stakes and won the Maiden stakes. He is peaking at the right time but still has a question of consistency. Harbinger is next in the odds since he is unbeaten this season. However, this will be his first run in Group 1 after wins in the Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes, the Group 3 Ormonde Stakes and the Group 3 Dubai Duty Free Stakes. He can’t be overlooked in the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes and is probably a better lay bet than back bet.

Cape Blanco, the 2010 Irish Derby winner, comes in third in the betting. He was an afterthought in the Group 1 Prix du Jockey Club finishing 10th, but came back at the rich Irish Derby. He proved himself by winning the Group 2 Dante Stakes and has good each-way value. Two strong 4-year-old horses to consider for your online gambling include Midday, who won the Nassau Stakes and Breeders Cup Filly & Mares Turf, and Age of Aquarius, who has finished second in each of his last four races.
