A struggling Arsenal squad is set to square off against Liverpool tomorrow. It will be Liverpool’s biggest test to date. Arsenal has played two of its three biggest rivals in a row without even picking up a point. With a win, Liverpool can move two points within Arsenal and the third spot. It doesn’t look good for the Gunners, which had a draw against Aston Villa, was knocked out of the FA Cup by Stoke and suffered crucial losses against Manchester United and Chelsea.

In the last five years, Arsenal is 6-3-5 against Liverpool. Arsenal won the last match in December. Liverpool, on the other hand, is unbeaten in seven Premier League matches and a win at Merseyside Derby. Liverpool has been strong on the road, losing only half its games. The Reds have held opponents to 1.2 goals per game. Arsenal has a lot to prove this game and, judging from its storied past, should edged this one out to make up for some poor showings so far this season.

Liverpool can be backed at 11/4 odds, a decent price considering Arsenal’s record at their level  of the league. But, Liverpool has no wins in twelve matches at Arsenal’s home field. It would be a fair bet at 23/10 since Liverpool’s four prior visits to Arsenal have resulted in draws. Arsenal is missing some talent up front with Eduardo da Silva, Robin Van Persie, Carlos Vela, Kieran Gibbs and Fran Merida all sidelined.  Liverpool’s Sotirios Kyrgiakos is serving a three-match ban after being ejected in the Merseyside Derby. Also, Frenando Torres, Glen Johnson and Yossi Benayoun are still out with injuries.

Boylesports is offering refunds on all losing single first, last, anytime goalscorer and scorecast bets if Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard scores the last goal of the game. Refunds come in the form of a free bet to be used on the weekend’s Premier League matches. Gerrard has scored five goals in 20 league game, two game-ending ones against Bolton and Birmingham.
