The ATP Queens Aegon Championships move into the semifinals on Saturday and there have been a few suprises. The most notable upset is Jo-Wilfried Tsonga’s three-set win over No. 1 seed Rafael Nadal.

Tsonga will face James Ward in the semifinals. The other side of the bracket is getting a lot of attention with Andy Murray squaring off against Andy Roddick in the semifinals. Murray is predicted to win but Roddick is a four-time champion at the Queen’s Club.

Marin Cilic withdrew with an injury before his quarterfinal match with Murray, who needs the extra rest after his ankle injury from the French Open semifinals. The World No. 4 won at Queens in 2009. He is 6-4 against Roddick and only three of their meetings have gone to three sets.

Roddick won the Queen’s tournament in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2007. He does well on grass and this is eighth semi-final appearance at this tennis tournament as he looks to bounce back from a disappointing 2011. Still, he has been ranked in the top 10 for nine straight years.

In the other semifinal, British No. 2 Ward faces Tsonga. Both have had a good run. Tsonga beat the 2008 Queen’s champion Nadal and Ward beat last year’s champion, Sam Querrey. It is the first time two British men made the last eight at Queens in 10 years.
