The Formula One Championship hits the road this weekend with twelve competitors in the 2010 Bahrain Grand Prix. The sport is in a crisis as BMW and Toyota left and four new teams enter. Seven drivers will make their F1 debuts in 2010 and veterans Michael Schumacher and Pedro de la Rosa return to what they do best.

It looks to be another unpredictable season with recent changes to the USF1 team and at Campos Meta with Adrian Campos taking leave. There is some great value in the Drivers Championship and the Constructors Championship. Fernando Alonso is a good bet for the Drivers Championship and makes his debut for Ferrari at Bahrain. Ferrari finished in fourth in 2009 and has a lot to prove this year. Lewis Hamilton has shown some great form in 2010 but will need some magic from McLaren to take it. Both are 11/2 at Party Bets. His teammate and reigning champion, Jenson Button, will be Hamilton’s biggest competition and is 12/1 at Party Bets.

Sebastian Vettel has improved with each race and finished second in the 2009 championship. His Red Bull team has remained strong and he looks poised for success in the Drivers Championship. He is 9/2 at Eurobet. Schumacher has a storied past and teams up with the reigning Constructors champion in what could be a deadly partnership. Schumacher isn’t about to play second fiddle in his racing comeback. He is 6.00 at Titan Bet for the Drivers Championship.

It’s unlikely that any new drivers will take the Constructors Championship. Bookies are going by teams in this one and Ladbrokes has Ferrari at 2/1. McLaren and Red Bull are next at 9/4 and 3/1, respectively.
