The AT&T National begins today at the Aronimink Golf Club in Newton Square, Penn. This is a rotation tournament since it was played at the Congressional Country Club for the first three years. Aronimink hasn’t hosted a major event since the 2003 Senior PGA Championship. Golfers will be weary of the false fronts and small imperfections on the greens. Keeping the ball on those greens will be a challenge so keep that in mind for your online gambling.

The field has only three players from the top 10 in play this week. One of those is Tiger Woods. Most European players are playing in the French Open this week. Next on tap is the Scottish Open, and then the Open Championship. Despite his season-long struggles and no wins, Woods leads the odds as the 2009 AT&T National Champion. He dramatically won by one shot over Hunter Mahan, but now we have an entirely different course in Aronimink.

Jim Furyk has four top 10 finishes and two wins in 2010. He has made 10 cuts this season and has good value at the AT&T since he has finished in the top 10 each year. The course changed to his home state, which he has never won in, but that could change this time around. Sean O’Hair is one of the few in this field that has experience at Aronimink. He started off his U.S. Junior Amateur career there and has been a member there for the last two years. O’Hair has missed only three cuts this season and is coming off back-to-back top 12 finishes at the Memorial Championship and U.S. Open.

Ben Crane had four straight top 12 finishes, including three in the top seven, before missing the U.S. Open cut. He has one win on the season and could be a surprise at AT&T. Ryan Moore isn’t that known but should be after this week. He has only three cuts in 14 medal play events. He finished fifth at the Memorial and 13th at the Travelers Championship. Two other longshots include Frederik Jacobson and Brian Gay. Jacobson has missed only one cut in 14 starts and finished second, tied for sixth and tied for 10th so far. Gay has missed his fair share of cuts this season but also has two top 10 finishes, including a tie for second at the Nelson Championship.
