With the East Regional broken down, it’s time to cover the Southeast Regional in what looks to have two clear favorites. This region includes one play-in game for the No. 16 seed.

Pittsburgh (27-5) is the region favorite with Florida (26-7) just behind in the odds. Pittsburgh won the Big East regular season title but lost to eventual-Big East champion Connecticut in the postseason quarterfinals. The Panthers are the No. 1 seed and have reached one Final Four, all the way back in 1941. Florida won the SEC regular season title but lost to Kentucky in the SEC Tournament title game. Some are speculating that Florida is overrated as a No. 2 seed. The Gators have been to four Final Fours in school history, the latest being 2007 when they won their second-straight national title.

The teams further on down the ranks don’t have as much talent as the East Regional but there are some potential bracket busters. Michigan State is the two-time defending regional champion, and Gonzaga and Utah State should be watched closely as well.
